Phoenix Integrative Neuro-Somatic Coach: Many physical diseases 'are coming from our emotional illness'

Integrative neuro somatic practitioner Anjana Nambissan said emotional trauma can manifest physically and remain stored in the body unless it is addressed directly, during a recent appearance on the Phoenix Business Brief Podcast.

“We also store these emotions in our body. In a cellular level, we store everything,” Nambissan said. “Many of the physical diseases… are coming from our emotional illness or the pain that we carried.”

Nambissan, who leads Daffodils Bloom Life Coaching, described how unresolved emotional experiences can influence relationships, careers, and physical health. She said individuals often carry “emotional baggage from childhood” that shapes behavior and reactions later in life.

“We all carry a lot of emotional baggage from childhood and kind of like that pain is being projected onto our partner,” she said, pointing to strained relationships as a common sign that deeper emotional work may be needed.

She emphasized that many people operate primarily from subconscious patterns formed early in life, noting that “90% of who we are is our unconscious mind,” which stores memories, beliefs, and past experiences.

Through techniques such as neuro-linguistic programming and other methods aimed at accessing the subconscious, Nambissan said individuals can “reprogram the brain” and address the root causes of emotional distress.

“There are… tools that can slow somebody’s thinking very slowly and then rewrite the way that they think,” she said.

Nambissan also highlighted the role of self-perception in emotional health, arguing that a lack of self-acceptance often underlies personal struggles.

“It always comes back to me — am I good enough?” she said. “Instead of judging and criticizing… I can actually become the cheerleader of my life and say, you know what? I really, really love myself.”

Her practice focuses initially on what she described as a “six weeks breakthrough program” designed to help clients identify and clear past emotional patterns before moving into forward-looking coaching.

Nambissan said her own experience with depression and emotional challenges led her to pursue coaching and therapeutic training, with the goal of helping others achieve faster progress than she experienced.

“I went through all that pain… there must be other women out there who are feeling intensely just like how I was doing,” she said.

Nambissan is a Phoenix-based integrative neuro somatic practitioner and founder of Daffodils Bloom Life Coaching, where she works with clients on emotional health, mindset, and personal development.
